Bioventix, based just outside of London, is a biotechnology company specialising in the creation and supply of high-affinity sheep monoclonal antibodies (SMAs) for use in immunodiagnostics.

Bioventix focuses on the areas of clinical diagnostics and drugs of abuse to identify new or existing commercial assays for which there is or may be a need for improved antibodies, with the aim to provide customers with high quality SMAs that address the shortcomings of other antibodies. Bioventix has successfully developed SMAs to targets where conventional monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies have failed to produce a suitable reagent and supplies antibodies. This advantage over conventional rodent monoclonal antibodies is also reflected in their customer base, which spans a wide range of global multinational immunodiagnostics companies.

Our antibody technology and laboratory have been based at the in Farnham, Surrey, UK since the 1990s. Their dedicated of scientists, spanning a wide range of scientific capabilities, is committed to providing our customers with innovative solutions to diagnostic challenges.

The Bioventix team has been using Opvia as its eQMS but have recently expanded its use to Solution Batch Records (SBRs) and Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs). The quality team is able to manage documentation, deviations, change controls, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) in one system. With the expansion to SBRs and MBRs, the Opvia Platform allows full visibility across teams to maintain detailed records, reducing errors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This streamlined approach simplifies and streamlines their production and quality processes, enhancing overall product and documentation quality.
